So whenever I had to replace the vacuum pump on my 6.9, the vacuum pump and pulley I got from amazon did not match. The pulley was too big for the shaft of the pump.

This was the pump I had gotten: (turns out it's for powerstroke/idi so it's the serp belt system one)

And this was the pulley:

I still have the pulley.

I noticed on my 7.3 the other day that my pulley was bent and I think it's causing some interesting screeching when the belt is cold.

I figured I'd just replace the vacuum pump and the pulley both at the same time and have a fresh system and keep the existing pump as a spare.

This pump appears to be the correct one for my vbelt system after reading reviews and seeing the correct years in other customers reviews:

https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-904-808-Mechanical-Vacuum-Truck/dp/B00412MOFM/

So I would think that one would fit the pulley I already have. Can anyone confirm that the pulley I listed is right for the v-belt vacuum pump shaft diameter? I've tried googling that part number and it matches the correct year for my truck but that's the only confirmation I've been able to really get.

Motorcraft BRVP3 is what you need. Not the Dorman

Amazom does let you check the fit for your truck

I got a dorman vac pump from O'Reilly's, bought a pulley puller tool kit from napa (free rentals wont fit the pulley) and just swapped it over. No problems thus far, about 1.5 years later.
