Another thing, I think the USgear goes inbetween the T-Case and tranny so you will have to do away with your front tank since the T-Case will be furthur back. The GV units bolt on to the back of the T-case leaving your front tank, if you have the BW Case like I got (I cant remember the model for our trucks, someone help me out) there is no provision to bolt something up so it replaces the whole rear casing, I called about the adapter awhile back when I thought I had fond a "deal" and that adapter is $750!! All said it would be cheaper to buy new for me unless I found a used kit off the same truck with the same T-Case.
older trucks with the BW 1345 has no seperate tailcone from the case.
later(87&up) trucks with the BW1456 have a removalbe tailcone.
Removal of the front tank on the reg cab trucks is likely but not so on the SC or CC trucks. There's an extra 2ft and 4ft on the frames respectively.

Ford might have used the 4x4 transmission to have a place to install the parking brake for those 450s. Just a guess on my part.
