What methods have you used to update your heater hoses. I would like a clean way to update the heater hoses as all hoses with the permanently mated quick disconnects are obsolete for the 1992 E350. I see quick fits with barbs, is the the best method.

Thanks,

I added a coolant filter between the heater core and my 6.9l. I just used normal heater hose. I was actually considering removing it.

When I recently freshened up a lot of stuff under the hood I replaced all the heater hoses. I wen with the Gates 'Green Stripe' heater hoses because they were supposedly a bit better. I think there are silicone heater hoses available but they are $$$$. For connections it's hard to beat barbed fittings and ring clamps for simplicity. There is a range of ring clamp styles available and if you have a "Hose shop" nearby they likely stock a variety of clamps.
