1959 Rambler American (pre AMC / Nash) w/ a Nissan SD23 diesel engine ( similar to SD22)

Everything is hooked up. engine will start w/ fluid but not by cranking. Glow plugs bench tested. No luck. No time or impetus at the moment to get it running. have two young kids. over a grand spent at a local shop to get clutch hooked up, brakes reshoed (drums all around). Nissan manual tranny. Body is very straight. original paint is disintegrating. Mild surface rust on roof. no leaks. Daily driver in bakersfield by old lady 4 years ago before picking it up in san diego from kid who started the swap. fresh upholstery all around. lights work. have all hub caps. glass orig and cherry. highly desirable "unibody construction". original black CA plates!!! Oh new cherry bomb muffler too. Come and look. Let me know if you have any tricks on getting it to start reliably. My guess is it is a fuel delivery issue. Possible glow plug.
Cheers.
