two air filters?

ok so since the uninstall of my turbo( the seals blew and the bearings melted because i had my oil return wrong and i didnt prelube) i have an open element setup that i made way for that i have no use for. so i know i can get a y to seperate the intake into two parts. what if i run my ram air down through the radiator again on one side of that y and put that open element setup on the other side? any thoughts on whether this would help or not

why not dual ram-air and save the open element incase you put another turbo on, and sorry to here that you toasted it

yeah needless to say it was a whole lot of money wasted but i learned some valuable lessons. the bearings are so shot that you have to grab the wheels with your whole hand to spin them. that might have been the prob with the low boost numbers that i posted huh because the turbo never acted any different from the first run so i assume that it burned it up on the first fire up, but man that thing sounded like it was spooling good so i can just imagine what it would do with good bearings, makes me want to try again

make an adapter and throw that holset on that thing

yeah but i have major clearance issues with the holset that i will have to deal with and this is my dd so i either got to make some money to sit on or get another vehicle to make my dd so that i can have something

That sucks about the turbo, sorry to hear that. Hope you can get that all figured out. as for the intake what does it look like? do you have any pics?
