Update is this. Problem turned out to be a bent rod in the number 4 cylinder. Motor was started with either and there was a loud detonation sound, a stuck motor, the bottom of the piston was taping onto one of the crank shaft balancer lobes. and then it ran. And I might add that even with the bent rod it ran well. Testimony to a very tough engine.

Yeah, mine runs good too but still knocks lightly. Hydrolock on 1 cylinder. Have the parts, not the time right now.
