Turn Signal problems

So my 85 F250 has been having turn signal issues. The turn signals will slow down and stop working. Then after a little while they work again. I have already replaced the flasher and turn signal assembly because it was not returning. My guess is I have a loose connection or ground somewhere. Anybody have any suggestions where to start.

Start with the tail light ground . Should/might be on the left side of the tail gate under the bed.
