Turbo Question!!

Alright guys and gals quick question... Has anyone done a reloacated turbo? Like mounting it under the cab or between the frame?... I know it will create much more lag,but your still gaining power right? Also what size turbos can you use or whats the best for a stock motor? You can def see the cheaper turbos on ebay (t3/t4) not big enough? too big? Just trying to figure out a way to make more power without too much money. Not wanting to race or anything just would like a little power... Thanks everyone anything and everything helps!! Let the thinking begin!!!!

It has been done, there are a couple write ups on here somewhere. There was also a compound setup at one point that was remote mounted.

Remotr setups almost always do not need to be intercooled. More lag, but lower charge temperature

Edit: not almost always, but you can get away without an intercooler most of the time depending on mounting location
