Hey everyone, I own a 92 idi with a banks turbo...just rolled over 100,000 and want to replace the IP and injectors....will the 93 IP and G code turbo injectors do anything different or more than that stock N/A IP and E code injectors...turned up a notch maybe?

The turbo G code injecters are not what you want for more power and fuel mileage.... they are designed for better epv smog issues. So they do not give you anything that could or would make you install them. I always ran G codes till I talked it around here. then I bought a set from typ4...;Sweet They are the Bb codes and they out proform the G codes hands down. I tell everyone that wnats the G codes this from personable experiance.... Read my signiture. The BB codes will work best in these engines... Then the Moose Misters from Agnem. Nothing can touch those injecters. They cost more but you get so much more for your money. Your fuel system is at the useful end of its life at 100,000 miles. Things start to happen and you never really feel the loss of power but..... Install a quaility rebuilt injection pump and hold on. That alone wakes these engines up. Add a set of new... Not rebuilt BB code injecters and its wonderful again.... Like adding two more cylinders to this big V8.....:sly

test your current injectors, they may last longer than the ones you replace them with. The 7.3 pumps all use the same plungers, (all that I've seen anyway) non turbo pump can be turned up to the same level as the turbo pump.

Black Dawg you are correct about all the same plungers. The turbo pumps supposedly do have a different timing and fueling curve than earlier pumps though. Certainly somebody with the know how like Mel's guy or Ken could bring any 7.3 pump up to turbo specs but I kind of doubt without adjusting those curves a stock 7.3 pump is anything but that. Having said that a well built stock 7.3 pump can make a ton of fuel and you'll probably find other limits before you "run out of fuel". I don't know why so many people here are anti-reman. You should know that they are a mixed bag though, what some builders call "reman is shameful, nothing but cleaned up...these are no better than your old ones and maybe worse. Some are reground, and some truly have new nozzles (by far the minority). The moral is test, don't guess, even with new injectors. You want them to be 2000 psi+-200 psi and the lowest one within 50-100 psi of the highest for best economy and power. When you match a set the idle is so much smoother too, let me tell you.
