truck wont come out of park

1993 IDI wont come out from park but starts at neutral. Any ideas?

Do your brake lights all work?

found out my fuse was blown. put in a new fuse and a clip that goes onto the master cylinder started smoking.

Solenoid for shift interlock has failed. Disconnect it, remove it, and replace fuse, then you'll be able to move your truck again. But that also means you'll be able to put it in gear even without it running now.

I found the issue. Its actually a recall. My truck master cylinder almost caught fire. The recall is still active. I advise anyone with these trucks to get it services asap. Recall # 09S09
