truck tires

Will 315 75 16 fit under my f250 with out major work and what will i have to do to get them to fit and will puttin biger tires on help with my high rpms like lower my gear ratio that much to notice.:dunno

if you dont have a lift i would doubt they will fit unless you have just the right wheels and/or chopped the fenders/bumper. now on to gear ratios, they will lower your crusing rpms however you will have to take into account that that is a lot meatier heavier tire that has a lot more rolling resistance, and it will take more to spin. so your milage wont necessarily go up because of the ratio change, it all depends if you are lucky you will break even and get the same milage

i know a guy that put 315 75 17 under his stock f150 and all he had to do is space his bumper and trim it alittle

my uncles truck has 36 inch buckshot on his 84 idi, all he done was make a custom bumper, my truck has 33 and if i trimed my bumber im pretty sure i could hold the 315/75/16 or possibly the 36

i would think that you could, you might have to do something to your bumper

i have 315/75/16s on my 88 F-350 and a F-250 is about 2" lower so i may be able to in the front if u trim the bumper. the rear should be fine.

i looked at my tires today and compaired them to the 315 and it looks like they will fit on the front if i trim the bumper and put a 3in lift on it.
