Truck is a little doggy

Hey all, I was just curious how you turn the fuel up on a 6.9 N/A, It is a little doggy and I am not getting much black smoke at all (even at WOT) How much should i turn it up? -Thanks, -Brad-

Zigg has a real good article on his website about how to do this. Basically you pull that triangular cover off of your injection pump and turn the motor till you can see the fuel screw as its only visible when you are at TDC. I can't remember which way to turn it. Mine is still stock or only turned up as much as the rebuilder turned it. Definitel search for Ziggs info he has good cautionary notes and is very thorough. Start with a really high quality, really clean allen wrench you don't want any debris in there. Good luck with it, and be careful unless you have an EGT gauge.

I agree. I wonder if we asked him nicely if he would let his articles be loaded up as tech articles. They are very well written and I have sent BUNCHES of people (who would probably join up here from those articles alone) to them from here and over there!
