I just had my transmission rebuilt locallly and i keep getting codes thorn to the o/d light on the end of the shifter. We have replaced the speed sensor a couple of times and the last time, they took out the compupter and found some corrosion which they cleaned.
It works better now but threw the codes over the weekend but reset itself but still does not shift as smooth as it did when we cleaned the computer.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement computer. The tech tells me it is bolted near the firewall
Thanks

The code it gives is 23, which i am told is tpi, which my truck does not have so I am being told that the speed sensor was the issue but that has been changed and checked and that is whe they found the corrosion

Code 23 is TPS. You have one of those.:D
The TCM needs that info to shift the tranny.

You will find it on the driverside of the injection pump. The old name is MLPS.

Check your TPS for sure that is the easiest/cheapest fix. I had to eventually replace my ECU when I had the same issue, corrosion . The local tranny shop found me a replacement ($500). I blamed the missing rubber seal that runs across the top of the firewall.
