Came to the forum to get some advice on my GPC yellow wires as one of 'em had a splice in it creating two connections and three pieces of wire to make one long enough wire, not happy with that. Decided to do a search before asking for assistance and boy, am I glad I did. I'll be pulling those two wires and replacing them with this 4AWG and 200Amp in-line fuse solution. Is it necessary to plug the two openings on the connector once I pull those wires out? Thanks to Crazydane for this thread and to all the contributing and supportive members.

If you no longer have wires there or power going through it, I don't see why you'd have to plug the openings.
