I have a 76 stepside that isnt in the best of shape and i cant seem to sell it.

Then i was reading one of my magazines and Fordcummins.com makes the conversion kit for this truck which i really didnt know.

The truck runs now but i like diesels and it could be a nice little winter thing to get around to selling it in the spring.

What do you guys think ?

Why would you swap a cummins into it and then sell it? You would loose a bunch if money on that deal.

If you do swap one in, plan on keeping it.

I will most likely get an F150 later on to swap a cummins into to keep. I dont know how much the conversion kit is yet.

I would plan on 5000$ for a complete swap. Some will say more, some say they did it and came out even. I say 5 grand LOL.

That wouldnt be too bad i guess, I would be doing the work myself. Motor shouldnt be more than $300-$400 + rebuild kit costs depending on how good the one i find is. Thats about all i know. I need to get rid of my blown up gasser before looking into what to do with this damn plague.

Have you found then that cheap? Cummins around here go for about 1500$. That's for a motor with at least 200,000 on it.
