Standing outside talking to Brian today about a dry box for back of flatdeck...some guys drive up and get out looking for Al.
Older gentleman introduces himself and says he was down road at place I guess where my wife works and was sent to me
I'm thinking ***?? I'm looking for a tach sensor for a 7.3 diesel and was told your the guy!
We talk a while and discuss sensors and that his is doing the bouncy thingy and I suggest cleaning it before replacement. I show him my trucks and whats involved and he's happy....then it's whats this as he points to the fuel heater....I explain. Oh I got a plug like a frost plug in there and sealant and I wondered what that wire hanging there was for.
Next he tells me he has a solenoid on the fenderwell for the GP and his GP setup isn't working of course I ask are you using either and get the yes
I go and get my spare IH NEW GP controler and harness and GP's and suggest he find a similar new setup which lead to the how much and I said about $250 unless you find one online better.
He wants to buy a used tach sensor and get some help. I said check yours first cleaning may help.
I write down the web address for here after I asked if he is computer literate and he said he is. I said create an account and get online!
He seems quite interested in getting hooked up here.
Currently the truck is parked and not being driven, a 90 C6 trans, and looking for a gear vendors too
Anyway, looks like I'm getting known as a go to guy for these trucks locally and I told the fellow, everything I know is from you all here!
