Big Ed got used for something productive this weekend

Towing the Jeep/Dune buggy up north for some winter 4wheeling.

We had a ball, but it was cold, even with the heater on, go figure!

This is a project that we have been working on with the Church Youth Group, and we were able to take some of the kids this weekend out for some fun.

I was real close to taking the truck out too, but I had to drive it an hour and a half back home so I elected not to.

Here are some of the pics.

Darrin,

Looks like you folks had a good time. How'd your project fair after getting it off road? Any changes?

Good to see you're working with your church on a project like this!

Thanks for the comments guys, It is definatly a worth while project. Two of the guys that worked on it were exchange students visiting last summer and they got to break the windows and just do some good old mayhem on a perfectly good Jeep. They just said "Crazy Americans" :Sly

We also took them to Silver Lake Sand Dunes late this summer for some Dune Riding, That was before the 3" lift, 31" tires and extensive fender trimming. Tony took his 1990 Mitsibushi Montero, and we had about 5 other misc trucks including an 85 Chevy 2500 with a straightpiped NA 6.2 DIesel, He was not easy on the eqeipment. :hail

The pics are about 1, 1/2 hours north west of GR By Silver Lake Sand Dunes at a buddy's 20 acre lot. Then we found some state trails. but we had the most fun in his back yard. Tony got to beat on the Jeep for a while also.

As far as expense, I have a grand total of under $600.00 invested in the Jeep, that is WITH the lift, rims and tires. and the $100.00 purchase of the Jeep. $25.00 of that is spray paint ;Sweet

We hope to get it out again after the holidays and find some better trails.

Thanks again!
Darrin

Darrin, Let me know when you are coming up again, I would be happy to show you some trails. If you were in the Silver Lake area you were about 20 minutes from my house and countless miles of trails, mud and gravel pits. Tim
