Heading out to the shop to work on my ‘87 F350.
I’ve had it about ten months but haven’t logged more than a few miles on it yet. Last immediate item needed is a replacement steering gear box as the factory unit is leaking pretty fast.
- replaced the glow plugs with some motor craft units
-relocated & replaced the glow plug controller (it was under the turbo)
-new glow plug wiring harness
-made myself some 2/0 battery & ground cables
-return line kit
-replaced almost all rubber fuel lines (still have a few left at the first filter that I will get to soon)
-

Plans beyond that include checking/changing all other fluids… I found a set of 16” alcoas for it… & start driving it to see what else it may need.

Well mine ain’t no beauty, nor running so well right now, but I have a 1987 f250 lariat with the 6.9idi mated to a t18 I believe. 4x4, all the goodies
Just stripped and painted the rear section of frame, took the bed off and threw a flatbed on, about to put a gooseneck in as well once I get the engine issues sorted out…. Half tempted to throw a zf5 in it and maybe a turbo kit in the future…

I have a 1990 F250 7.3 and purchased a gear box that works like new. No more wondering going straight. I emailed them about a referral. This is the reply so it will be a savings for anyone that reads this and buys something.
Hello Robert,

No, we Don’t have any type of referral program, but we do a have a first-time customer discount. If you use code red25 that will apply a $25 discount

Happy motoring form Maryland. Robert

Looking forward to learning more about getting her all tidied up.

It's probably time for a new pic of my 60k unicorn.
For you newbies .
I'm probably in a small group of people who owns a sub 100 k truck.
Fwiw
I know of a 6 9 bullnose that allegedly had right @ 500k working miles..
