I have a 1990 F250 7.3 and purchased a gear box that works like new. No more wondering going straight. I emailed them about a referral. This is the reply so it will be a savings for anyone that reads this and buys something. You must be registered for see images attach
Heading out to the shop to work on my ‘87 F350.
I’ve had it about ten months but haven’t logged more than a few miles on it yet. Last immediate item needed is a replacement steering gear box as the factory unit is leaking pretty fast.
- replaced the glow plugs with some motor craft units
-relocated & replaced the glow plug controller (it was under the turbo)
-new glow plug wiring harness
-made myself some 2/0 battery & ground cables
-return line kit
-replaced almost all rubber fuel lines (still have a few left at the first filter that I will get to soon)
-
Plans beyond that include checking/changing all other fluids… I found a set of 16” alcoas for it… & start driving it to see what else it may need.

...hey!....that black visor on the blue truck looks suspiciously familier.......lolFinally got a picture of the three, yes, three running bullnoses I have.
Blue is an 84 single cab IDI F250.
Black is an 85 Crew Cab dually IDI F350
Red is an 85 single cab with a 351W f250
Soon the body from the red F250 will be transplanted onto the Blue trucks frame and running gear to convert her over to an IDI and then use the 351W/AOD combo in my grandfathers 86 F150.
Yeah, it’s taped up there right now to see how I like it on the truck right now. It’s definitely growing but not sure I wanna swap it right away for the Lund visor....hey!....that black visor on the blue truck looks suspiciously familier.......lol
Truck looks excellent, thats a great tranny option too!..... wayyyyy better than a C6, and it'll be super easy to ZF5 swap it if you decide to!Hey y'all - recently picked up Florence, an '86 F250 with the 6.9 and T-19. She's replacing our '89 F250 (351W + ZF). Looking forward to driving her!
ETA: I love the mechanical simplicity of the 6.9. No computers!
