I'd love a ZF5 - PO said she drove like she wanted another gear.

Question: does your ZF5 have the external clutch slave cylinder or internal? My '89 has the internal cylinder and I'm not a fan.

Yes, the diesel ZF5 and the T19 have the same external slave cylinder. Other than a U joint and a flywheel/clutch/pressure plate, the ZF5 is "plug and play".....the ZF5 issue is first and reverse are too high.

Here’s my ‘85 F250 6.9l 2wd and my ‘01 F350 7.3l. Both have been great trucks.

My 2 idi’s. Dually is my baby. Bought new in 92 by my parents, it’s never seen salt or snow. Indiana truck but always parked in the winter. I bought it from them 15 years ago. Original paint. Stripes were painted on in about 93. About as original as any. 130,000 miles. Non turbo e40d. Bought the 88 a couple years ago as a farm truck. California truck. Very solid. 7.3 banks turbo 4x4 automatic. Good old truck.
