Super Duty Starter in an OBS

So after running my tank dry this weekend and cranking my starter a lot more than I was comfortable with, I am going to proactively buy a starter in anticipating of having to replace mine. I've heard of folks really liking the DB starters for the IDIs, I've also heard the gear reduction stuff is nice but sometimes has some clearance issues, and I've also read that the 7.3 Super Duty factory starters spin much faster than the OBS Powerstroke versions.

Anybody used a stock Super Duty starter part number in an OBS Powerstroke?

from my experience with PSD's all of the castings are the same....
should be as simple as getting the starter.

Don't hold me to it, but I think some reason you can only use two of the three bolts. But it still works fine like that.

yep the newer ones 2001 and up have 2 bolts instead of 3
99-01 used the same 3 bolt

DBelectrical's quality has gone downhill unfortunately. I would get an OEM SD starter and be done with it.
