One of my friends has a 2003 F250 with a 6.0PSD and he wants to straight pipe it, but he's not shur if wants to or not. Is there any problems that could arise from straight piping and while I'm at it how big is the exhaust pipe before the muffler?

piping is 3 1/2 in diameter. other than being louder, it is not going to hurt anything. the inlet and outlet of the muffler are not in line with each other, so the muffler delete pipe has to be bent accordlingly to fit. there are some companies who make them. just gogle muffler delete pipe. i would do a flow through muffler before straight piping, but thats just me.

ahh, that makes things easier. i dont have any specific brands, but any straiight throuh muffler will help with flow and egts but keep things toned down and still have a growl.

The Walker BTM works well for me....
< $60, Lifetime warranty , good rumble on my 6.0, EGT's 200 degrees cooler...

IN my case, straight piping was WAY too loud inside my 6.0 Excursion on long trips - the drone made us crazy within 45 minutes :)
