well after months and months of being in pieces spread out all over the shop I finally got the old POS running today. Second times a charm, seems you kinda have to actually connect the glow plugs to the electricity if you want them to help you out any. Did lot of clicking when I turned the key. So ya, works.
couple more little things like fix the fuel leeking from that little rectangular thing on top of the fuel filter, and figure out why the water in fuel lights on when I just put fresh oil in the filter and its a new filter. Steers kinda hard but that might have something to do with not having enough power steering fluid in it ( I ran out ) Dipstick issue might be solved will have to wait and see on that one.
Anyway this is my victory letter to all the folks who helped out with great advice and at least a few encouraging words from time to time.
now for springs wheels paint and an interior. After that I'm down the road.
