After leaving the mechanic who said" I dunno,makes no sense"...hooked up the trailer and took it to my old 350 mechanic and asked him to go for a ride. Did the smoke and low speed on hills..he pulled over and craweld underneath and within a second he said here it is. Apparently the kick down rod was disengaged by a bad bushing...simple. Thanks you guys for leading me in a direction to start , work your way up. As for the other guy, I pulled in and asked him if he checked this thing...of course he did...yeah right. This is what makes me want to go all cowgirl on nitwits! End of rant and again...many thanks for all the advice!
