Spinning caps on the ZF output yoke.

I've been driving my beast for about 2 months now with the ZF and NP205 underneath - so far so good and I love it. ...I do have a couple of minor issues to deal with. The only two u-joints I didn't replace are now toast, I have two new Spicer HD joints laying on the cab floor to fix that issue....Next issue is my stub shaft is spinning the cups in the ZF yoke. I'm going to try the yoke off my other ZF and see if that fixes it, the stub shaft is all brand new and so were the straps. Anyone know where I might get a new ZF yoke cheaper than the dealer?

My last issue is the drone in 4wd, it's either my t-case front output bearing or the front diff - pinion bearings...Having spun the front shaft by hand I'm laying my bets on the t-case bearing....It's old and you can feel the growling in it when you turn it...Otherwise I'll tear the front end apart when the snow stops falling and do a proper set up with new bearings. The tranny works good for having 278,000KM on it but it should have synchro's in the next year to preserve it.

Shoot Towcat a PM on the ZF5 yoke, IIRC he owns or is part owner of a tranny shop in Cali, he may be able to get one, have one or be able to tell you where to get one.

I can get you either new or used. I will be at the shop on thurs to order up the ZF rebuild book for a couple of guys here. The output yoke is a easy one to chase down.

If nothing else, they may be able to get you in touch with a ZF parts warehouse north of the border.

We sell Meritor transmissions in Freightshakers and they are made buy ZF....Maybe I can get one through my own parts channels. We will see what happens with the other used one first. Anyone know the torque spec for the yoke nut?
