yeah, he must have realized it's a D44 not a 50 like he thought, wonder if he ever got the nut off though........

There was no thought about it....he KNEW it was a 50 NOT a 44....nope nadda chance.

Suppose if he bought a spindle nut socket for a FOURTY FOUR he may have...or hammer and chisel.....

Bet that pie tastes pretty crappy

Got a 2 5/8" socket, ground down the teeth so they would fit in, and it would not work. Its just to big especially with that ring around it. I have to make a socket. There is no way around it. Nobody makes the right socket for it.

Your making way too much out of this. I have the exact same D44 ratcheting spindle nuts and bought a standard Dana 44 4-prong socket at my local Napa.

I already tried them. They do not fit, its that simple. It is way to small because its a Dana 50, not a Dana 44.
