Snapon Timing Meter

I found a Snapon MT 480 up for bids. Is this a pluse type or luminosity type meter? Thanks.

Lumy. Actually both the 480 and 1480 are. The 1480 does include a pulse adapter that will read spark plug pulses, which in turn can be used with a pulse generator like the Mac, ferret or Snap on one.

MT480 is Lumy only, if it has a good luminosity probe its a very good way to set the timing. Sourcing a new probe is going to be expensive and maybe impossible though.
