Snap on timing meter

I need some help guys....i have a snap on timing meter and i can't remember the thing about the offset you type in before you time a truck.... Does anybody have a manual for it or can tell the offset. Its been years since i timed one with it....PLEASE help....need to time a truck this weekend and bring it home...

Might help to tell us what meter you have. snapon made several different meters and what method are you using to time. Pulse or lumi..

20º offset for Cyl. #1 on my MT1480 digital meter using the lumy probe

Sorry guys..its the pulse meter i think...it snaps around the #1 injector line and a probe goes to the crank shaft port and it has a black box called a ferret....its my friends meter but i have it since hes in a 6 leaker....
