So today I met an old Ford enthusiast, bought a hitch for my F150 off of him....started talking and found out his backyard is my dreamland of old Ford parts.

Anyways, he has his old yard truck he doesn't want anymore, hasn't run in 2 years, was running bad when parked, sucked up some **** in the tanks.

It's a 1987 F350 4x4, 6.9L ZF5. I can have the driveline with axles out of it for 400$, but he said the ZF works great in all gears, but the shifter is pretty sloppy.

What would cause that on a ZF5? Never heard of that happening on a ZF.

^^^^ What he said. It'll make if shift and feel like a new one if there is nothing internally wrong.
