Thats a locking hood release. Much better then a ebrake lock

What he said. My old van had one of those locking hood release handles from the factory...it was keyed to the round door key. I don't know how long Ford kept that as an option, but I've only seen it a few times, and always on slant-nose and older vehicles...

I was more interested in the locking hood latch but couldn't find the keys. Me and my cousin pulled a built 351 windsor from that bronco. C6 trans. Posi front and rear.

Don't worry bout key for the lock it can be changed and rekeyed...

My hood latch (locking version) totally broke off. Cast aluminum just shattered on me one day.
