Well if the only thing You changed was the injectors and return lines before it got this bad then I would check the timing on the IP and see if that improves things.

Have you ran it at all since the injectors got pulled and the copper washers went in? You usually need to run it hard after the injectors or lines have all been off. From my experience, it'll knock something funny and blow white smoke until all the air's been blown out, which may take a few miles of hard throttle. If the only thing that's changed is the injectors coming out and back in with washers, I'd try this first, and as EZ said, get your timing checked.

No smoke sounds better than blue smoke, eh? Did your knocking clear up?
nope still there and louder then before but i am startign to narrow that to a exhaust leak because i do have leaking pipes under the truck and ai am about the fix all that with 3 inch but at idle she pours out the blue smoke

An exhaust leak will knock something horrible. AS long as it isn't a bad bearing or piston hitting the head or something of that nature it's not too bad. Also make sure nothing is laying on the injection lines as that too will make a knock...as will advanced timing. Regarding checking it...at home you can line up the static marks on teh pump flange and gear cover, if you have a lot of white/blue smoke and no power you can advance the timing a hair at a time... no more than a dime's width and always with the engine shut off. If it knocks you can retard the timing, again a little at a time, toward the driver's side to retard and pass. side to advance. For dynamic timing you need the right tools which mostly are located in injection shops and not even all of them have timing meters for IDIs anymore. Dynamic timing is 1.5*ATDC @1400rpm with the luminosity method or 8.58BTDC with the more common pulse method. Good luck and hang in there!

It is strongly advised to time it with a diesel timing meter specially if You don't know how to really get it on the sweet spot for the IP. One of the members here have a web page with very good instructions and tips on how to do it and with what You need to do it.

where can i get one of those timing tools at i can not find them listed at any of the parts store

There are no new ones. The best place to watch for them seems to be ebay. Those of us who have them, treat them like gold.
