Seat pad

1993 F250, real good condition. I have a little extra money and have my eyes on an LMC Original Style Velour reupholstery kit. It's almost $600. The original seat sags on the driver's side and the fabric is torn where I slide in and out. I hear a foam pad for the seat would make a nice repair under the LMC kit - however the foam seat pad is obsolete at all Ford dealerships and LMC doesn't carry one. Any ideas where I might find one?

Bench with small flip up center armrest. Inflatable lumbar support. Regular cab XLT package. I'm looking at Ebay and there's some there but not sure they'll fit. There's a 40/20/40 and a 50/50 ... I have no idea what that means.

Yea I have done 2 things. Repaired with spray glue and foam Usually works well or purchased a foam seat base from eBay.

when I got my truck the drivers seat was trashed - same bench your describing that you have - I ended up shoving a bunch of foam in the cover to rebuild the side bolster, then put a layer of denim on top of the foam but under the original cover. I hand sewed up what I could then used fabric glue to hold it all together. That was 5 years ago, it looks like a worn seat, but the whole truck looks worn or as it’s now called patina - but the bolster still feels good and it’s comfortable to drive. Cost about $30 at a fabric store and a few hours of my time.

If your truck is much nicer than mine and you want new looking seats without paying for someone to reupholster them most fabric / craft stores sell foam pads. I used one 2” thick and shaped it to my preference - you could prob do the same.

When we bought the 86, has a Bench seat. Was covered with vynal, drivers side patched with Duct Tape. Had an old blanket folded up I put over it to keep the stickie off my pants and also so I wasn`t sitting in a hole.

Later on I found a nice bench seat out of a F-150 at PNP for $48, and had it reupholstered in P-orno Red Volure. I wanted it done right, so was costly. This seat has the Arm Rest that flops out of the seat back, and some what of a Head Rest.
Might be an old truck but I want the interior comfortable and good looking.

Now my 85 has those stupid buckets, like sitting on the floor, looking through the Steering wheel, and my eye balls just peeking over the door window opening.
Iam not into being a Low Rider.
Not sure what Iam going to do with them.

I don`t like Electric Seats, just something else to go wrong, and that is about all that I see in PNP.
People dont have a problem spending $1200 to $2K on a set of Tires, but when coming to interior comfort, Duct Tape, Bailing Wire and Hot Glue is the way to go....

When I read the thread title, made me think "P-ee Pad"?

Made a huge difference in comfort and fatigue for longer drives. It might be slightly firmer than the brand new ford foam but I rather like it. My back is properly supported now.

My bench seat is solid all the way across. Passenger and driver's seats move forward and back as one. There's a small armrest that folds down between the driver and passenger. 40/20/40 as far as I can tell are two individually tracked seats with a larger middle section.
My bench seat might be called a 50/50?

Ok, that sounds like a different setup then. Yes, that would be a bench seat, not buckets like I posted.

I’ve got 2005 excursion front bucket seats with leather heat and 6way power and the matching rear leather in the back of my 90 crew cab. LOVE them. I can put the seat down (I’m taller) and wife can put the seat up (she is shorter) Extremely comfortable and the center console is separate and folds down so I still have 3 seats but also an arm rest storage and cup holders. And I can get the foam and covers off eBay.
