I have the numbers from the rear in the recently acquired F 450
4.63 V F 6 T A AA
Y 603831-1
Can anyone read this and shed some light as to what rearend it is? It is disc brakes and I know the 4.63 ratio but what else is it??
thanks for the help

There are some changes though in 2005, they went to a 110 IIRC. So the year is important. Up till then, it *should* be a dana 80.

I thought it might have been:

87-97 - Dana 80
99-04 - Dana 135
05-present - Dana 110

I'm not sure on the years on the later two, but I faintly remember calvin saying something about the 135 vs. the 110 in the later years.

My apology , I didn't say the year. It is a 97 F450 cab/cha E40D ex-ambulance with the Granning/Reyco air ride rear suspension. When I got it the ambulance box had been removed and it had no bed. It does have the 10 lug wheels and 4 wheel disk brakes
