Today I was pulling my usual long steep hill to the freeway. Truck was running stronger than usual so I "asked for more"... Big surprise is I hit 15 lbs of boost almost instantly. Had to back out of it to stay on the gauge really. Did this twice.:dunno:angel: So I'm wondering whats going on if maybe something has "changed" and I don't know it. Tomorrow I will be checking the wastegate for movement. Thats about the only thing I think can change the boost like that. Truck sure was sounding mean and seemed like it had plenty more left in the reserves.

Sounds like the time I cleaned my K&N for the first time in what looked like 5 years or so and then drove to Albuquerque for the semester. Granted, no 15lbs, but still.

Wastegate is the only thing I can think of as well. Unless your engine just decided that you deserved a nice morning :peelout

Mine will do 15-17, I just dont get any remote feeling of power...let alone more left in reserve lol. What does it make normally, maybe something is coming apart in the pump.....for the better :D

Oh and Sam? (theguruat12) I havent forgot about ya, just for some reason the post office isnt open at 5:30a when I go to work or 7:30p when I come home haha.

The 88 I had ran pretty good.
Signature probably won't show up, it had 3.55 gears, 7.3 N/A, zf5. ECLB and 4X4.
It ran Damn good until I put it in my brothers 93 and put the banks turbo on it.

Air temp, barometric pressure, load, altitude, grade, fuel type (e.g. average fuel vs some of that whizbang 50 cetane LSD you used to be able to get) ... These are all factors in this in my observation. Some days my truck seems barely able to make 10 psi. Other days, it could make 14 psi. As I started observing, all these things, or combinations of them, were factors.

It was, its unhooked now. I turned it up about three flats when I put the headstuds in it. It seems to have plenty of fuel, the black smoke never clears up completely if I stomp on it lol Probably needs a better intake and intercooler, but it is what it is.
