R&R Tranny dip stick tube

Can this be done in the truck or does the engine/ trans need to be pulled? Someone smashed my tube and the dipstick doesn't fully seat/go down the tube.

Yes. This can be done with the trans in the truck. These tubes have an o-ring sealing the bottom area where it fits into the aluminum trans housing. Where is the tube smashed and how did this happen...

Now while doing this is the perfect time to re n re the filter and change some fluid too....then you know you don't drop no crap in the pan....

I got it smashed, guessing something to do with the turbo install? Right at the top where the stick slides in so it won't seat down into and seal. I just got done doing the oil pan gasket and filter so hoping I can keep it clean.
