I finally got the heads pulled off the 83. Driver side looked I guess okay, no water leaks, or broke parts. Now Im working on the passgners side. One of the roller retainers is busted. I havent checked to see if the pushrod is bent yet. Where can I run one of these reatiners down at? Also, when I put the rockers and push rods back in, what will put them back where they where?

Umm...maybe your fingers? Just kidding. If you mean should you keep them in the original order, yes that's a good idea. Put everything in a clean box, poke holes for the pushrods number them all for their cylinder, you should be good.

UPDATE: got the offending side removed. #2 pass side, glow plug tip pounded to the thickness of a nickel or thicker. Whats the best stuff to use to clean up the heads and motor? What kinda sealer do I need to use like in RVT sealer or so?
