So in the next day or two I should have my 94 back with a whole new top end on it. I meant to ask the shop doing all the work when I was there today but forgot.
What kind of break in (or is there a necessary one) on this IDI? The bottom end wasn't touched. THe heads have been completely gone thru, valves, valve guides, (possibly a little "extra sumthin sumthin" ) and all new lifters, etc..

It's not as if I plan on firing her up and then headed straight to sled pull it or something. I do have plans in about 12 days to haul my 5ver over the continental divide and I"m somewhat concerned about a decent break in period first.

Among other non-related work she's got a new Hot IP & injectors, Typ4 turbo w/ a lil extra giddy-up, Snow Performance Water ****, new radiator & thermostat, new lift pump, and I'm sure I've forgotten a few other things I've bought. I'm a little skeered to go back and look at the AMEX right now. LOL

If the cylinders were not touched I say run it as you normally did before the topend rebuild.
