Pressure at oil filter?

Does anyone know the exact routing of oil from the pump through the filter and into the engine on the idi?
I am wondering if the filter is a "high pressure" filter or if the bypass bleeds off excess pressure before the filter.

There is a oil pressue relief setup in the rear oil cooler header. Not exactly sure on the routing.

I think the filter sees all the pressure but if the regulator is working it should all be the same. I have a filter head at work I will check it out and get back to you.
