I posted this some time ago but for those that didn't see it here goes. My '86 didn't stop very well so I did some research and found I had a 8" booster and a '92 had a 10 3/4" booster. I got the bigger booster and installed it. BIG difference at a reasonable price. All I had to do was add 5/8" to the pushrod that went to the pedal and slot the bolt holes a little in the mastercylinder. The studs in the booster are 1/4" different spacing than the mastercylinder. ten minutes with a round file fixed that.
I got home this afternoon from a trip to Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats and having the brakes work good was a joy. 10.2 mpg for 1900 miles-I'm happy with that!
Saw a 359 cubic inch Cummins in a Streamliner go 308 mph-Awesome!!
