Really? That is good to hear. If you're off a few degrees is okay. Again I am splitting hairs trying for engineered perfection. Maybe it is more critical with a single serpentine belt. I am going for it. These are fat single belts also.

perhaps there is some crud under where you tightened it up, throwing the pump off at an angle?
