Power steering noise

Hello everyone I have a 84 F250. I had to have it towed two weeks ago due to a bad fuel pump. Had my friend tow it with my bronco about 2 miles with a tow strap while I was manualy steering the F250. Ever since I got the truck back on the road it whines from the steering pump at low speeds while turning. Did I ruin the pump?

Check the fluid. It's likely low. Pumps will puke fluid when the situation you describe exists. Whenever possible, use the starter motor to turn over the engine while you turn the wheel.
