Took truck out 97 cc dually and it idles and revs fine as usual but say cruising 40 and not touching gas pedal it will act like im jumping on it. Fuel pressure good. What can it be. No codes.

So with ZERO pedal input (not holding it steady at 40mph with pedal pressure) the truck will accelerate on it's own???

No. Steady pedal pressure. I was thinking ICP or CPS

More likely icp sensor.
CPS would cause a stall.

Ok. Ill try the icp. Makes sense. Was thinking that cps would maybe give an advanced timing signal to emu. Motorcraft ICP or it doesnt matter ?

If you're guessing on the ICP sensor, just unplug it. It will set the SES light defaulting the PCM to a set number for oil pressure. See if the problem continues before buying a part to throw at it.

I'd bet on the TPS going wonky IMO...does it do it with the cruise set at 40mph ?

interesting....try unplugging the ICP sensor

X2 on icp had same issue on a truck at the shop an it was icp

Easy fix. It was the icp. Thanks everyone for your input.
