The truck had been sitting for a week or two and i go to start it up today and it take a while to crank due to air intrusion but it starts up fine. I let it idle and warm up a bit then I press on the pedal and hold it at a steady 1200rpm to charge the batteries. Then I noticed the rpm was decreasing slowly to about 1000rpm without moving my foot off of the pedal and then it just completley dropped to around 300rpm without moving my foot off of the pedal. I let my foot off of the pedal and just let it idle at around 300 rpm for about 15sec and it didnt go up or down in rpm. So i reved the engine a few times and got it to idle at 500rpm. It had seemed like it corrected itself for about 30 sec, so I reved the engine back up and it started to decrease in rpm quickly back down to 300 rpm. I can hold it at wot and it will just slowly decrease in rpm and then sharply die down to 300rpm. I have clear fuel lines and can see its getting fuel without bubbles and I have good fuel pressure at the filter head. I bought this ip used the guy said it had around 12k on it I havent put more than 1k on it myself, the truck has had great power and wasnt showing any signs of a weak or failing ip until now. Is it time for an Ip swap?

Someone will shed some better light on this but'
The low 'idle , dropping rpm's sounds like loose linkage maybe??
I have never pulled a part off/out of service that was working right!
Just sayin!
Good luck

Thats what I thought, I was thinking mabey something with the throttle cable, but it still does it when I manually push on the throttle lever under the hood.
