Possible Dana 60 and ZF 5 Speed ??

Im doing the D60 for my 4" lift, the 9' plow that im trying to buy, the custom bumper im having made and the turning radius.

I wasnt looking for duallies, i was looking for any F350. I searched F350.

My dana 50 rode horribly. The 60 rides far better and the truck feels more stable on the road. Now tha I put the 4 in lift springs on the front it rides and handles far here're than the stock f350 springs.

also, the fact that the steering toe changes as the suspension cycles on a TTB truck causes bumpsteer. This gets MUCH more noticable when you run larger tires or have sagging front springs. I have to deal with TTB on my bronco, and honestly I hate it.....and dont even try to wheel with it...the d44/d50 front ends have very weak wheel joints and simply dosent want to flex. However, I do agree if you keep everything tight and just use it for a road truck/light off road there is no reason to change ir.

You can use dually front D60s. You will just need to remove the dually adapter on the 92-97 (ball joint ones), or swap hubs with your D50 for a 85.5-91(king pin ones)

He is talking a front 60 from a dually will have different hubs or adapters to accomodate the dually wheels. If you don't want to make your truck a dually, you will need to swap to single wheel hubs or remove the adapters depending on what year axle.

I know, but im talking about the Dana 60 in a 2wd possibly not being able to be used as a 4x4 axle because of no driveshaft etc. How can i use a 2wd dana as a 4x4 axle ?

im going to try and say this without being an ass, there is no dana 2wd frt axle.
there are several names for the frt end on a ford trk
TTB twin traction beam = 4wd IFS dana 44/ dana 44hd/ dana 50
TIB twin I-beam = 2wd IFS
MONOBEAM = 2wd superduty solid 1 beam axle
SOLID FRT AXLE = 4wd solid frt axle dana 44(pre 80 trucks)/ dana 60

So a dually with a dana 60 can be used as a 4x4 axle or does that mean that no 2wd truck will have a dana 60.

ssssshhhhhhhhhh dont tell my MUDKICKR that, i have 37s on it and it rides like its on rails, i have also replaced everything in the frt end, and went poly bushings in the shackles and leaf springs. i also cruise on the highway at around 70/80 and if you have ever been on a WV interstate you know how fun that can be.

I know right now with TTB and smaller than stock tires in 4x4 that if i turn to the left, my right side front tire will bind up. Havnt had a chance to look at it but i dont like that either = (

a dana 60 is a 4wd axle there are no 2wd versions of it is what he was trying to say.
