Does anyone here have a good picture or two of the high side line that runs from the compressor to the condenser on an 88-81 Econoline 7.3 IDI?
And even better, measurements? Mainly the rubber hose section.
I bought the closet thing I could possibly find, the line for older 5.0/5.8 Econolines, which uses the same FS6 compressor in the same area of the motor. But I don't have an ac compressor on my engine to line it up and see how it'll fit. Not so worried about the hard line sections, since it should be made to clear the FS6 regardless of the motor, and it uses the same condenser, so that should line up to clear the brake master cylinder, running underneath of it.
I have a free returns window on it (eBay) but it only cost $35+tax, and it looks like it might work?
I'm guessing that the hose section is longer, to make up for the smaller 5.0/5.8 engines?
The rubber hose section (not counting the foam covering) is approximately 14-1/2" long.
That's how the factory line looked on the 6.9.85 E350 at the condenser and compressor.
