Parts I have....

I sure do have some parts. When I got up today I found my mains, rods & cam bearings on my doorstep.... On Thursday I got my Turbo inconel exhaust valves from Diesel Direct. The valves came from this address. Florida Diesel Exchange in Jacksonville Florida, they bought them from Clevite Engine Parts Hacks Cross Road Olive Branch MS and then finally they were shipped from a place about 12 miles from my home. Its called Clevite Engine parts 5540 Bandini Blvd. Bell Ca. 90201.... So I guess everybody got a piece of me on this deal. I will be calling the bell store on Monday just to see if they will sell directly to me.... You know... For the next time I need inconel exhaust valves....

Welcome to the wonder world of marketing. I bought mine from a company called SBI, they do valves and seats,guides, stuff like that. Good price and they look just like the clevite ones. I bet not too many make inconel valves.

My inconel valves were made in Argentina for Clevite & the part number is 211-2562 and come 2 to the box.. I talked in depth with a valve manufactor in Northern Ca. He can't make any valves in the states and sell for a profit so he goes "offshore". Inconel is a type of metal similar to high grade stainles but... It will take heat much better and at a higher temp. Its much harder than 316 stainles and wears better. I used to cut it out of stationary steam turbine diaphrams and weld it back in. We would build a copper profile of the bladeing and weld anywhere from 1/8 to 1 1/4 inch of blade. We actually made the blades by welding row after row of inconel tig rod. Its very hard to grind or machine but has very good wear factors. It wotks in exhaust valves because of the heat and flow of hot gases. Titainum is another great valve material if its alloyed properly. If you want a set of the inconel exhaust valves Diesel Direct sells them for $38.00 per valve. I don't know of any titanium exhaust valves but I'm sure someone could fab up a set. Its just what will they do to a set of heads or guides.

And the guy facing them will love you!!! We faced all valves, new or used, and these are some very hard one to cut, but they do face out very nice, just like a knife made of good metal!

Alls I can tell you is its definitly some hard ****. We make some parts made of it at work and its a real PITA to work with.
