Just joined up after buying an 86 F350 6.9/4speed factory flatbed dually. With the help of Corey (dieselcrawler) it'll be on the road by next weekend hopefully. Needs timing desperately and will soon need injectors. Gonna use it mainly as a tow rig for my big dumb mud truck and for hardware store runs. I love the old trucks, especially bullnose 80-86 fords and hopefully I can keep mine running for a long time to come. Looking forward to reading lots of tech here!

Glad to see ya made it on. I still plan on getting over on Tuesday after work to yank that gear tower and get the gears lined back up. After talking with another member here, we both concluded your engine is 180 degrees out of time. My meter was just maxed out when we hooked it up. But we will get it going.
