Was the "J" type the early unit and the "P" was the currant type used today? It is true that GV has the trans adapters and really want lots for them.

I dont think a GV bolts to a T-19 unless they made a 2X4 version of it. If its a T-19 4x4 the GV bolts up to the T-Case.

The J type was the earlier one--I think the P type came out around 85-86 thats the one gearvendors use for the diesels and big blocks. The J was originally in Healey's and Triumphs.
