Any one have a trusted source for a output bushing for a bw1365? Little leery of giving personal info to a site I've never dealt with let alone heard of. None of the parts stores locally seem to be able to look one up. May try the ford stealership if need be.

Oops. I can say 1356 but for the life of me can't type it, lol. Napa was closed and they were of no help when trying to get the same part for a t5, its as if they don't even want to try now days. Called the dealer and they said discontinued..... So I took a gamble on the needle bearing version from the bronco grave yard site.

If it comes to that then I guess I'll make that trip but until then Russ, I'm avoiding P-town like the plague. 
Just hoping the bearing I ordered pans out and that I don't have any cracks in the extension housing, my drive line is pretty loosey goosey.

yah, I'm really glad not to make that drive any more.... If its convenient for you I wouldn't mind having the plain ol bushing as well. Definitely one of things that are cheap enough to squirrel away for a rainy day considering the pain in availability.I noticed wear on the yoke too, both u-joints have play, I'm slinging a little bit of ATF along with a vibration around 60-65. So I'm just collecting parts as can afford them so I can get it all done in one shot. I need to hurry before the rain comes

Not fixed yet. Was going to share when I got it swapped but since you asked. The bearing is wrong, had my doubts and they came true, poop happens. Going to either call alltrans as their catalog does not work on my phone or order the bushing from cobra transmission for $5 when I have some extra money for it and two new u-joints. This bearing came from the bronco grave yard site. A catalog was sent with the part and I found it lacking. Could not find the tail shaft/extension housing bushing in it so into the trash it went.
If your looking for one and call alltrans, its item 66 on the exploded view of the bw1356. They should know what your talking about but then again I could just about hear over the phone the dumb look on the ford stealership's parts guys face before he decided it was "obsolete".

Going to remove the extension housing, pull the seal and drive the old bushing out and the new one in with a bushing driver, or may take it to work and use the press. Like Russ brought up, I did notice during my conversion my slip yoke is worn and is contributing to the slop. So you may want to pull the drive line first and check the yoke. Could be all you need.

Just check it with a micrometer or something?
Pretty sure that's the wrong pic as it shows both as fixed yoke, could have sworn I had another exploder view but guess I don't.

That's the bushing the yoke runs in.
Calipers or a mic would be handy to see where exactly its at in the worn area. Not sure what the spec is before it is supposed to be replaced.*you can clean and measure the yoke that doesn't get wiped by the seal to see where it should be.* Some times when they get sloppy worn it's not always necessary to tell they're junk. I could visually see my yoke neck down from wear and has several score marks in it. And that's pretty much why I'm replacing the bushing too. Had that crappy yoke in there for too long.

I picked up a yoke for mine at Six States Distributors off Columbia Blvd in Portland, stands to reason they could get the bushing. them is good people.
Sixstates built my drivelines..... D%^kbag removed material instead of retubing it to the spec I gave them. They did make it right in the end so I can say that about them. I've been to them before for the same part on a t5, they sent me to a trans shop who in turn said they can't look it up. Good parts slingers are few and far between down here.
