Well it's almost ready to begin racing... just waiting for the tranny and rear diff ... then electrical throughout... but the main items are in place and it's begininning to come together...

I thought I would share some of the pictures with you all... The truck is radically different than most of the other trucks in this division... Trophy Trucks are normally big and heavy... this one is going to be light and nimble...

We have approx. 27" of travel at each wheel... it is fully independent suspension... A radical change from the regualr automatics that most all are running and even the manuals that some other, including ourselves, have been running.

We are going to continue to run the 4.5L V6 that we have always ran... we are just turning up the power a little... Closer to 600hp now instead of the 500hp that we normally try to stay around.

The body panels are a combination of a Ford front end and Toyota panels from the cab back... we were going for a Toyota sponsorship earlier but discovered they didn't want to give much help or sponsorship towards the off-road arena.... so we went back to Ford. We will be covering up the Toyota emblems when it gets painted...

We made everything on this truck in regards to the body and suspension... Tranny, Motor,... things like that are made by custom shops... We are trying to get some true 39" tires to run ... Our design and specs leave us with very tight tolerances... to large of a tires means rubbing and clearance isssues... to small of a tire causes us to drag the ground... or possibly drag the ground... We'll see in a race application what it really does...

Just wondering, who'd you buy your fuel and oil hoses/fittings from?

Ourselves.... my nephew owns an off-road shop with everything you would need for racing or recreational off-roading. He is still working on getting his site going to sale online.

We found a long time ago that it was difficult to find parts and such ... and to get them at a decent price required a buy in... so he and my BIL started a small shop to begin selling some of the hoses and fittings... then we were approached by a larger shop in CA to act as an outlet for them... He has almost everything you would need to build a race car...

But if you need something please call my nephew first... he has everything in the catolog and can ship anywhere... 928-453-7474 - His name is Shawn

Mike - I wasn't sure if this was appropriate... I have never tried to advertise for anyone let alone my nephew's shop... just sharing my experiences in the off-road racing world and where we get everything. If I am out of line please remove the info on how to get ahold of him...

 If you need some one to test drive it............i would be more then willing!;Sweet :hail

It's funny because we always seem to have people ready to test drive it.. :D LOL

Our hope is to have it ready for our next race in April. We'll see how it goes... I will try to get some video of it while testing... I used to have a video of the Class 7 truck testing... it was kind of funny because we we following along beside the race truck on the road ... I was in my truck running between 70-80.... when he would hit a straight away and take off... I couldn't even come close to keeping up.... you would hear my turbo start screaming and the race truck would just pull away like I was standing still ...

Thanks for the nice comments

I will make sure to get video from in the cab and from outside....

We are excited to get it running to see how it does... it is so different from everything else we have done that we're not sure what's going to happen.

If all goes right we should be able to hit a top speed of 145mph .. With 27" of travel we shouldn't have to slow down for much... maybe a few of the G-outs.... they're killers... but otherwise we should be able to stay in it longer.
